August 22, 2008 | Whalers Village in Kaanapali presents the 19th Annual Maui Onion Festival--a benefit for Habitat for Humanity--and admission is FREE!
 Join in the fun on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 from 9am - 9pm. Celebrity chefs Fred DeAngelo, D. K. Kodama, James McDonald David Paul, and Russell Siu will honor the Maui Kula Onion--a signature crop on the Valley Isle--in a judged cooking contest. There will be chefs' demos and samples, raw onion eating contest, games, prizes, food booths, a beer garden, a Taiko Drum performance by Watanabe Taiko Drummers other live entertainment.
